Servings: 1
Ingredients
1packetramen noodles
1tspmaple syrup
1clovegarliccrushed
75gramsfarmer's sausage
3/4 cupsliced green beans
1tbspsoy sauce
1tspsesame oil
Instructions
Heat a skillet over medium high heat and put a kettle of water on to boil
While the skillet is heating up, slice up your sausage and green beans and peel a clover of garlic
Once the kettle boils, prepare your ramen noodles according to the instructions, omitting the flavour packet. While the noodles are soaking, heat the sesame oil in the skillet and toss in the sausage, beans and the crushed clove of garlic and stir quickly to coat with oil
drain your ramen noodles and place in a bowl.
once the sausage and beans are almost cooked (sausage is browned on the edges and beans are a vibrant, bright green) add in the soay sauce and maple syrup. Lower the heat and allow the mixture to simmer for 1-2 minutes. Sometimes I just turn the heat off and put a lid on top of the mixture and let it sit for a few minutes
Optional: you can add cherry or grape tomatoes during the last minute of cooking if you like - this will alter the taste quite dramatically. I personally like it but not everyone does.
Pour the stir fry mixture over top of your ramen noodles and enjoy!
Notes
You can sub brown sugar or the maple syrup and you can also add in a dash of red pepper flakes if you'd like a little extra heat.
